Miravalles Volcanoe Tour

   ONE DAY TOUR.

Leaving the city of Liberia at 7am we start our trip crossing through a desert on the foothills of Rincon de la Vieja Volcanoe, starting our assent toward the Santa Maria sector of Rincon de la Vieja National Park. This assent can be done through various different routes, depending on the difficulty that you desire. Our first stop will be in a town called San Jorge, here we will rest and we can enjoy a snack to recuperate strenght!

We will continue our ride throught the highlands, with a fresh climate and spectacular views toward the flatlands of Guanacaste and the Rincon de la Vieja and Miravalles volcanoes. This is an excellent place to take good pictures. The ride through here is full of short ups and downs that make it lots of fun; then we will arrive in Guayabo, a nice and peaceful town of friendly people, and privileged to have the imposing Miravalles volcanoe at its back. From there we will continue our ride on asphalt to arrive at the much antisipated hot springs where a delicious lunch will be waiting for us. After lunch our only worry will be to relax and enjoy the natural hot springs and pools, as we will spend the rest of the afternoon there. We will return to Liberia at 7pm by bus. 

2 DAY TOUR

It is the same as the one day tour, only that it has a second day full of extra adventures!!

We will stay at a lodge with hot springs and will enjoy a peaceful, relaxing night amongst friends. The next morning we will have an early breakfast and will prepare to bike back to Liberia at 8am. We will begin our ascent to San Jorge where, just like the first day, we will take a break to rest and have a snack. We will then continue our ride with a great descent until we arrive in the desert and then continue to the city of Liberia where our adventure will finish.

  The one day tour has a distance of 50 Km. Approx. and the two day tour has a total of 100 Km. approx . Both are recommended for advanced bikers and adventurers that love challenges and nature. 

 Note: This ride can be made even longer and more complicated for expert bikers that are looking for a bigger dose of adventure.
